The Israeli elections were held on 3/28/06.
For the most part, Israeli designers aren’t inclined to center their art on the burning socio-political situation around them. Likewise, at educational and design institutions, it is preferred to leave political issues outside of the academic walls, which is perhaps just the place in which to focus on the connection between politics and design.
Ilan Orbach’s bags are soft, pretty, and nonchalant. The bags were seen by the editor of Marie Claire Magazine at a street fair, and have since made their bold way into the fashion scene.
